In designing You’re Next Career Network (YNCN)’s third generation of business cards, I thought to use a different set of medium and dimensions, away from the typical 3.5″ x 2″ cardstock. My partner (director of marketing) and I decided that building a consistent brand for YNCN was one of the main goals we wanted to achieve, both internally with our designers and members, and externally when marketing YNCN to students, companies and alumni to expand our network using marketing materials are highly visible and recognizable. The most direct way is leveraging our existing logo – it represents the name and the 4 colours reflect the 4 different initiatives we have.

It is also a distinct artwork on its own, a versatile square shape with vibrant colours. I used the entire logo for the backside and organized the contact information in a minimalistic style with glyphs. The same square + colour concept was also used to address the different teams.
